One of the biggest areas of our business is rot repair. We are the area’s experts on replacing logs, decks, railings, posts, or whatever else has rotten on your log home. We are properly licensed and insured for replacing logs as a General Contractor, not just a painter license, an important consideration that sets us apart from some competition.
We use only the highest quality log material for our replacement logs. We do not use any two-part epoxies or wood sculpting products. We remove all rot entirely and replace with new log material.
We match our newly replaced logs with existing stain as best we can. Often times it is a perfect match, blending perfectly in with the rest of the logs.
Our replaced logs are secured with large lag screws and hidden with wooden plugs. All seams are sealed to prevent further rot damage.
Our techniques enable us to beat most other bids for rot repair projects. We work quickly and efficiently to get the job done right.
Travis and crew were great. They standout for the pride they take in their craft, delivering a top quality job. Travis is a great communicator. We had our log home blasted, rechinked, restained, and resealed…took about three or so weeks. Results were great. I researched multiple bids for the project at Madrona was competitive, especially given the extra service and quality of the work that leaves me confident it was done right and will last a long time.
Travis and his crew did an amazing job on our log home. They are very talented craftsmen that take great pride in their work. Ours was a 3 month project. They were always on time, respectful of our surrounding area, and went with extra effort to assure our living area was always in order. A major project that turned out GREAT. Travis can provide our contact information for further information.
I was visited today by Travis Bird of Madrona Log Home Repair and cannot speak more highly of the knowledge, patience, and expertise that was brought to bare on my new log home. Travis knows what he’s talking about. He is steeped in experience, pleasant, and was patient with my questions. His information and guidance gave me direction and greater confidence that I will make it through here. I plan on Travis being my go-to man for a long time to come. I trust him. I respect him. I feel confident he will get my new home up on it’s feet again.
“We are so pleased with how our log home turned out! Travis is very open and easy to talk to, patiently answering our many questions before, during and after the exterior restoration. His crew was wonderful, friendly and so hard working. Our 80s era home looks brand new now. Highly recommended!!”
“Great work and care on my home built log home! Not only was the work well done, but they were considerate of my wishes and the care my family put into building this place so many years ago! Thank you Travis, Derek and Adam….also thanks to your dad Pete for teaching you the skills and work ethics!”
“Travis and Adam did an excellent job restoring the exterior of our log home. Travis is dependable, thorough, and knowledgeable. He truly cares about the details of the process and the final product, and it shows in the results. We have work that needs to be done in the interior and will definitely be hiring him for it.”
“Madrona Log Home Repair & Care just finished an extensive log rot repair on our log home. They do an exceptional job of repairing, being here when they say they will, and doing all it takes to make your home restored. Thank you Travis and Adam for all your hard work.”
We are not in the business of gouging log home owners for money. We want to fix rot problems for a fair price and do a great job.
We are licensed, bonded and insured as a General Contractor in the state of Washington. This lets us legally do all carpentry work associated with rot repair projects, as opposed to just a painter’s license.
We don’t skimp on our equipment, no Harbor Freight for us. High performing tools and a well organized cargo trailer help us do the best, safest job possible.
